DescriptionThis is a large, very fine, and fully equipped laboratory microscope for phase contrast with attachments for photography.
It has an inclined binocular tube for visual examination of specimens with a vertical tube for photomicrography. A sliding prism at the base of the three tubes is used to direct light completely for observation or for photography.
Between the optical tube and the stand is an "Optovar" attachment which quickly changes eyepiece magnification by means of a knurled disk that rotates in steps of 1.25x, 1.6x, and 2x.
The microscope has three phase objectives and one standard objective.
There is a universal phase/standard condenser and a special powerful illuminator. A lamp housing is attached to the back of the stand's base. A special aluminum base plate lifts the stand to clear the diameter of the lamp housing.
The complete instrument consists of this microscope (2003-1-0002a), variable transformer (2003-1-0002b), drawing tube (2003-1-0002c), and box of eyepieces (2003-1-0002d).
