FunctionAir is flowing from the bottom wind chest (with the help of a soufflerie) into the hollow columns. When the cylinder turns rapidly and wind is flowing in only one column, you get a specific tone. Then, when you let air flow into the two columns at the same time, the tone has gone up one octave.
