Description:
A small portable balance consisting of a wood box with a drawer which also functions as the base for a balance to which a vertical metal column can be attached at its center. Besides the column, the simple balance has only a beam with long sharp pointer, two sets of bows and pans, and a scale for the pointer in a graded arch that can be attached to the vertical column.
