Description:
This is a Bausch & Lomb laboratory binocular compound microscope.
The microscope has a binocular body tube, a C-shaped arm, and a V-shaped base. A revolving quadruple nosepiece is attached to the body. The coarse adjustment is by rack and pinion. The fine focus is by means of a drum micrometer head at the base of the arm.
B&L achromatic objectives (3): 97x ser. no. JP2003, 43x ser. no. JN2832, 10x ser.no. JP6973.
The Bausch & Lomb illuminator is mounted on a baseboard with a research illuminator. The mounting was done by Ken Dawson Co., Belmont, Massachusetts. It is wood covered with a laminate. The illuminator consists of a lamp house mounted on a tiltable base. Gray crackle finish.
A set of lantern filters in a small cardboard box accompanies this instrument.
