Description:
A glass cylinder is held upright by two brass fittings. The bottom brass ball inside the cylinder can move up and down, whereas the upper one is fixed. The latter is terminated outside by a hook-shape connector. The bottom must have been tightly sealed since the cylinder was supposed to receive a colored liquid during the experiment. The circular base and long rod can be removed from the apparatus.
