Description:
Rectangular wooden resistance box consisting of two parallel rows of five brass blocks, connected by a metal bridge strip at one end, beneath which a coil connects one block to another. Between each pair of blocks is a removable plug, and there are three large metal binding posts attached to the metal bridge, as well as two more on the other end of the blocks. There is also a hole in each of the three central blocks on each row, where the terminal binding posts can be moved, if necessary.
The blocks and plugs are mounted on two panels of hard rubber, which rest on a wooden rectangular case. The numbers stamped beneath the blocks indicate the resistance values obtained by removing the plugs at those positions. (The values are 1, 2, 3, 4, / 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 Ohms.) Mounted on this case is a rectangular panel with the resistance and maximum current information.
