DescriptionThe projector is supported by a base equipped with a double tilting device that facilitates the image leveling on the screen, whether horizontally or vertically. The small base makes it possible to use the projector on a rather small surface. The base can also be used to store the slide carrier when the projector is put in the carrying case. The glass slides are 3¼ x 4 inches.
The apparatus is finished in crinkle black enamel. The objective has a diameter of 2.5 inches and a 16 inch focus length. The three filament light source is a General Electric bulb and it is marked: "GE MAZDA / 500 W 115V / PROJECTION / BURN BASE DOWN," which was the standard source of illumination for this delineascope. It is found at the back of the apparatus, in the lamp housing. The bellows are used for focusing purposes and they extend on two telescoping rails. This model has a non-heat conducting carrying handle and a button of the same material on the hinged lamp house. It was useful for changing bulbs and also to permit an easy access to the condensers for cleaning.
The black metallic carrying case storing the projector is held shut with a thick leather strap.
The original price circa 1930 was $70.
