Description:
Decade resistance box consisting of three dial switches (marked 1, 10 and 100) of knobs and open wiping contacts mounted on a hard rubber panel. There are two small binding posts at the top, and the internal resistance consists of nine resistance coils for each decade. These elements are encased in a rectangular box with a wooden base and perforated metal panels on the sides. The blue triangle on the instrument indicates that it was once used in the Harvard University Physics 3 Laboratory.
The original museum card notes that in an original Leeds & Northrup catalog from 1927, this instrument, model 4711, was advertised with 0.05% accuracy.
