Description:
This brass telescope has a long, thin tube. The tube has a slot with gradations alongside it from 1670 - 2030 marked every 10. The scale is labeled from 1700 - 2000. A metal strip slides in the slot and it is screwed to an inner barrel inside the outer tube. There is a bracket screwed to the middle of the tube.
The objective is a cemented achromat that has crazing in the glue. The aperture is 1 3/8 inches (3.5 cm). The objective cell is screwed to the telescope barrel.
The ocular end of the tube ends in a flange. It is marked crudely "No. 4."
There is one draw tube with an eyepiece. The eyepiece has an outer diameter of 1 inch (2.5 cm).
