Description:
The memory module is stored in a rectangular frame with a teflon panel and two handles on one edge. The opposite edge is the control panel. In its bottom right hand corner is a black plastic "MEMORY SELECT" dial on a metal plate that can be set to M0, M1, M2, M3, or DISABLE. Four rectangular plastic and metal plugs are also attached to this panel, each connected to a severed black cord. Three of the plugs are brown and rectangular, the fourth is smaller and black.
One side of the module consists of three rows of rectangular slots lined with brass connection tape. The top and bottom rows consist of 27 slots and the central row consists of 32 slots. In each of the top and bottom rows is mounted a block of 12 circuit boards that serve as the magnetic core memory blocks of the unit. The circuit board blocks extend through to the other side of the module. This side is flat with variously colored wires tied together in bundles and laced through slots in the back.
