Description:
This brass telescope has an aperture of 1.5 inches (3.8 cm). The objective is in the style of Alvan Clark. Its cell is screwed into a tapered collar with a concave surface. The collar is screwed into the main tube.
The focuser has a screw with a two rows of knurling. It is attached to the barrel with a strap. The rack and pinion is currently out of joint so that the screw will not move the focusing eyepiece in or out. The end of the tube by the eyepiece is tapered and curved in a way similar to the objective end.
The eyepiece that fits into the tube of the focuser has an outer diameter of 1 1/8 inch (2.9 cm).
The objective cell, the front end of the collar, and the top of the eyepiece are blackened. The rest is bright brass.
