Description:
An analytical balance in a glass case with wooden frames, resting on a white marble base with levelling screws. The case's front glass panel slides into place from above, while the side panels are hinged.
The balance has a tall pillar and a beam from which two flat, diamond-shaped pans are suspended from stirrups consisting of two straight metal rods each extending from a hanger with two hooks: one on top to hang to the beam, another pointing down opposite to it.
From the front beam extends a long pointer to an unmarked scale at the base of the pillar. The front beam also has a scale (probably for riders) starting from the center in both directions.
The balance has a release mechanism on top which can be controlled by a knob on the top right side of the case.
