Inscribedprinted: CHAMBER
Historical AttributesThere were two anechoic chambers at Harvard University: a small one in the basement of Memorial Hall, operated by S.S. Stevens' Psycho-Acoustic Laboratory, and a much larger one in a building on Oxford Street operated by Leo Beranek's Electro-Acoustic Laboratory. It is uncertain which of the two this sign belongs to.
