Description:
A device consisting of two sharp metal points facing each other across a short distance. One of them is placed looking upwards on a wooden base. The other is held looking downwards from an insulated stand made of a glass rod and brass fittings. The height of the point held by the stand can be altered by adjusting a screw.

Its wooden base has one foot detached and one foot missing.

FunctionThis is a demonstration device intended to show how electric sparks puncture a card placed between the two sharp points.
