DescriptionA tall rectangular wooden box with four tiny black nubs for feet and a black handle on top. The front of the box unclasps and swings open (to the left) to reveal a vertical wooden divider in the middle. The two sides of the wooden divider, as well as the two inside sides of the box feature similar long thin grooves for the sliding in of slats. On the left side there are eight such grooves, equally spaced, each of which is marked on the outside rim. From top to bottom, they are: "A" "4" "5" "6" "7" "7" "0" "L". On the right side there are seven, grouped mostly in pairs. From top to bottom, they are marked: "M" "N" "T" "U" "S" "S" "SM". Many of the vacuum tube parts meant to slide into these slots have matching characters on the side of their small square base boards: "5" for "5", "7M" and "7S" for the "7"s, "L0C" for "L".
The inside of the front of the box, as well, is used to affix certain parts in place. Here three similar black cables are fixed in position using metal fasteners mounted to the wood. On one side all of the cables have long black cylindrical terminuses, whereas the other ends differ. Two black strips of foam run down both sides of the wires.
