Radio receiver in a rectangular wooden case with hinged front cover and hinged lid. Decorative finish and boarder, 4 dials with raised arrows and large dial and circular meter on front panel. Meter has arched scale and arrow-shaped needle.
An Amplitude Modulation (AM) two-stage Tuned Radio Frequency (TRF) receiver, designed for 110V direct current (DC). It has three gang tuning capacitor, each stage can be tuned individually or all three sections can be mechanically ganged. It is encased into a rectangular box, with a hinged front cover (bottom), a hinged top (rear) and a small access panel lower rear.
Controls on the front panel, left to right, are: variable capacitor (antenna tuning?); variable capacitor (tuning, 1st rf) has lever locking control allowing all three variable capacitors to be ganged; variable capacitor (tuning, 2nd rf); current adjustment for 1 to 10 amp meter located above control (meter has set point mark at 5 amperes).
Controls on the rear panel, right: small knob next to speaker connections (volume?). Connections on the left rear panel: two prong power connector (used for 110V DC input?). On the center rear panel: antenna connections labelled with small disks: ANT, GR; two jacks and speaker.
