Description:
Kit for assembling a three-slide rule, including a rectangular base with holes punched in each corner, five slides (two of which have holes punched at either end), and a clear plastic cover with holes punched in each corner. The kit may have contained four rivets at one time.
The base and slides are made of fiberboard (?) faced with white. The kit is contained within a white envelope printed with instructions for assembly, a list of other slide-rule kits, and an image of an assembled (but blank) slide rule.

FunctionFor the creation of customized slide rules.
The user first prints each slide with the appropriate scale(s). He then fixes the two edge slides (those with holes at either end) to the top and bottom edges of the slide rule base. Next, he places the moving slides between the edge slides. Finally, he places the plastic cover on top of the slide rule and hammers rivets through each of the four corner holes.
