The box contained the contents that have been separately catalouged as 1998-1-0187d. The contents were removed so as to be protected from "sticky fingers" in the main gallery.
Box still contains a board used to hold the free-pendulum clock's movement. It is inscribed, "board to hold movement to master assembly."
