Description:
This is a prototype camera body for a Polaroid instant camera (perhaps a non-folding SX-70 model). The model camera body is made primarily of wood painted black. The camera is partially covered in panels of black imitation (?) leather. A circular piece of glass mounted in a model ring represents the camera lens on the face of the camera, and to the right of the lens is a slightly smaller circular glass piece representing either an electric eye or the viewfinder lens. Left of the camera "lens" is a metal "LAND CAMERA" plaque, and centered beneath the lens over the film compartment is a light blue colored "POLAROID" plaque. A slit along the top edge of the camera above the primary camera lens represents the socket for the flash bar attachment.
