This is a collection of small brass and glass components of astronomical instruments stored in the lid of a cardboard box, which formerly held a switch. It includes:
a brass spherical weight or plumb bob
a rectangle of wood
a tiny brass pulley
a rectangular glass slide
a small rectangular mirror, rear coated
a larger rectangular mirror, rear coated
a thick rectangle of glass
stored in a pill bottle:
a rectangle of glass with its lower half covered with a piece of obsidian. On the rear in pencil: metal / 9. telescope / obsidian
a brass pinhole sight
a matching brass sight with a wire in a rectangular window
a split ring collar with a tightening screw; it was formerly soldered to something else
a piece of a label with a red border, inscribed in black ink with mathematical notations
