Description:
Equiangular quartz prism with top, bottom, and rear face painted a matte black. Stored in cotton batting in a cardboard box that once held an Agfa photographic flash lamp. There are three red-rimmed labels stuck to the box lid.
Three scraps of paper with messages are in the box:

Prof. Lyman:
These prisms were used at the Med.
School for an u-v microscope (1912).
They were given to the Phys. Laboratory
as the microscope was dismantled.
