Description:
This is a set of 3 prisms and a lens in a fitted box. The prisms include:
1) a hollow glass prism with a glass stopper (liquid prism), mounted ina brass frame with two circular apertures. The frame's base has a rod for insertion in a stand. There is a knurled locking screw in the style of Duboscq-Soleil for securing the liquid prism in the frame.
2) a second prism in a similar frame is missing. It is replaced by an equiangular prism, unmounted.
3) a smaller equiangular glass prism.
4) a bi-convex lens with chipped edges. The lens is of early vintage.
The fitted box is made of wood covered in brown cloth made to look like pebbled leather. The inside is lined with tomato red chamois.
