David P. Wheatland (1898 – 1993) was the founder and first curator of Harvard’s Collection of Historical Scientific Instruments (CHSI). His tireless efforts over the course of more than six decades at Harvard helped to preserve and to grow this Collection and to provide a resource for scholars and researchers worldwide.
