Wang Laboratories, Inc.

Founded by Harvard graduate A.N. Wang in 1951, Wang Laboratories specialized in office applications for the burgeoning microcomputer industry, including typesetting, calculators, word processing, electronic media storage, and so forth. Wang's business peaked in the 1970s and 80s but encountered a downturn with the advent of PCs in business. Acquired in 1999 by Getronics, a Dutch firm.
