The Whipple Museum of the History of Science was founded in 1944, when Robert Whipple's presented his collection of volumes and historical scientific instruments to Cambridge University. The museum entered its permanent exhibition space in 1959.

The Special Exhibitions Gallery
(Science Center 251):
Monday through Friday, 9a.m. to 5p.m.


The Foyer Gallery
Closed for Installation.

All galleries are closed on University Holidays.

Admission is free of charge.
Children must be escorted by an adult.
