Radiation Laboratory of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
1940 - 1945
The Radiation Laboratory, commonly called the Rad Lab, was located at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge. The lab was in operation from October 1940 until December 31, 1945. Rad Lab "made great contributions to radar technique and microwave theory. Military hardware, methods of air-traffic control, industrial production and management techniques, modern electronics theory, and consumer products are all part of its legacy."
