Robert W. Wood
1868 - 1955
American physicist who worked at the University of Wisconsin from 1897 until 1901, and then at Johns Hopkins University from 1901 until his death in 1955. He made several contributions in optics and spectroscopy, and invented a process of color photography employing diffraction.
