Federal Telegraph Company
1910 - circa 1955
The Federal Telegraph Company of California was incorporated in 1908 and was based first in Palo Alto, and then around 1921 in San Francisco. It supplied radio transmitters, receivers, telephone parts, and related materials. The firm consolidated several telephone companies in New York state. By 1918, the firm was focused on radio parts, and by 1921 on complete radio sets.
Kolster was a brand name it used to distinguish its radio business. In 1928, that part of the company was spun off as Kolster Radio Corporation.
