Remarks: Otto Fennel Söhne
Otto Fennel (1826-1891) initially worked for the Breithaupt company, together with Johann Christian Dennert, who would later found the company Dennert & Pappe. In 1851, he set up his own workshop in Kassel. He produced mainly surveying instruments including innovative theodolites. The company continued under family ownership until 1968.
