Hans Ducher II
Hans Ducher II was a Kompassmacher who worked in ivory, wood, and gilt brass in Nuremberg. He is one of a family of sundial and compass makers:
Hans Ducher I (master 1537, died 1550)
Hans Ducher II (master 1557, active until about 1614)
Hans Ducher III (master 1570, active until about 1614)
Thomas Ducher (1590-1645, the son of Hans II)
Joseph Ducher (1614-1644, son of Thomas)
Hans Ducher II or III sometimes spelled his name as Hans Tucher, especially in 1582-1589. His maker's mark was a crowned snake, sometimes centered between the initials H and D or H and T.
