    Biography: William King was an American lecturer on electricity who appears to have lived both in North Carolina (c. 1810-c. 1835) and Boston (c. 1831-1838). In 1825 King published A Manual of Electricity, which highlighted, among other topics, the medical uses of electricity and ways to avoid lightning.

    King died in 1838 or 1839.
